I have so much enjoyed experimenting with Pianoteq. But I agree it is and can be overwhelming. A bit more information with tutorials and videos would go a long way in understanding the power of Pianoteq. I was thinking of reading piano tuning books to see if I could further my understanding of the parameter tweaks, but I am not sure that would lead me in the right direction (nor do I know which book would be helpful).

I just started playing with this in Pianoteq Pro. You can get some dramatic results pretty quickly! I do wish there was a tutorial video dedicated to this function. Just when I think I understand it...I realize I don't! I also saw the post about the program that analyses an existing piano tone and tries to match it in the Spectrum Profile editor. Between that and seeing the sneak peek video of Pianoteq 5, I'm pretty overwhelmed with information right now! I did read the parts in the manual regarding the spectrum profile editor but I could learn a lot more from a tutorial video, I think.
