In case someone is in the same trouble, IE11 wouldn't allow me to re-download Pianoteq to my computer (Windows 8.1).

A computer I bought in November loaded Pianoteq perfectly well. The hard drive failed so it went back under guarantee.

Receiving it back I tried to download Pianoteq again, clicking on the version in user-area downloads.

It came up with an error message: "Your secure download session has expired (or you did not enable cookies in your computer). Please go back, check your cookie settings and try again." and in the line under the header reported "Pianoteq_download_timeout."

As I have Pianoteq on another computer I checked that all internet and security settings were identical.

I contacted Support who was as mystified as me and is passing the problem onto their network people. But Niclas suggested I tried another browser - which I did - Opera. It downloaded the application perfectly well and I could activate it, no trouble. It works. Many thanks for that!

A similar thing happened when I tried to sign on here. IE11 let me log in but not get to the forum, claiming something about cookies wasn't set. Opera did it.

So, if anyone else is in trouble, this is a quick solution. I was horrified at the interim prospect of using some other sampled software, so, phew, am I glad I got Pianoteq back. It fully deserves its recent accolade!

Cheers!
