Those random values between 0-2 could just be a 'noisy' potentiometer in the pedal. This should be easily fixable with a slightly modified pedal curve.

For what it's worth, i'm using a DP-10 in a similar way with a m-audio oxygen 88, that is, in the expression pedal connector which is mapped to CC#64. Works perfectly.

I also use the Acuna with the DP-10 in jack 2 (expression) without any problems in Pianoteq. I have the exact same problem with GSI MrRay Mark II. It triggers damper noises randomly without the pedal being pressed. I reported this to Studiologic and GSI. It has to do with the options of the Acuna I guess since it works with the Novation X-Station in the same configuration.

I use a Yamaha FC3 through a MIDI Solution Pedal Controller and I sometimes have the same behavior when the pedal is at rest after some use. The reason is, in my case anyway, that the pedal controls a variable resistor which is put back to its rest position by a spring that may not be strong enough to maintain it at rest. My pedal controller sends all values, not a sampling, so if the latest value differs by only one, a CC#64 is sent.

Most of the time, when I release the pedal, there is some bouncing of low values for a while before it stops. I may have sometimes to move the "off" part of the pianoteq pedal curve further than 25...

This behavior may vary along with the use, maybe also temperature or humidity since this is a physical problem, not a digital one. I have tried adding some lubricant, but it's never perfect. I suppose the DP10 works the same. Probably the "at rest" value is unstable.

I'm playing live with Acuna 88, Roland DP-10, RME Fireface 400, Pianoteq na MacBook Pro, HALion 5. DP-10 is connected to Jack 2 input which accepts expression pedals. DP-10 in a standard mode is unusable with Acuna because of the polarity. I'm using it as a continuous controller for CC#64. I connect Acuna 88 via USB, but also tested with standard MIDI and both to MacBook Pro and a PC with Windows 7 64 bit + Cubase 7.

The problem is Acuna sends every 3-5 seconds some CC#64 messages without touching DP-10. with two active zones, Pianoteq MIDI monitor shows:

and it repeats all the time. I cannot use Apple Mainstage as a host because with its own instruments any value higher than 0 for CC#64 seem to be interpreted as "On". Sometimes it works properly, I mean no dummy messages are sent when pedal is not used. I tested with another DP-10 but 'unfortunately' these days both pedals worked OK. Three days later the problem returned. I have Yamaha expression pedal (FC-7 AFAIR). When I connect it to Jack 2 instead of DP-10 no dummy messages are sent from Acuna. So it looks that the problem is only with DP-10.

Are here any Acuna 88 users with DP-10 pedal? Have you noticed the same behavior?
