wow, kind of hackish, but if it works ....at least in pianoteq

My m-audio oxygen88 lets me remap any controller to anything, so it was a breeze to map the expression pedal input to CC#64 and use it as continuous sustain. Are you sure the studiologic doesn't allow remapping the vol/exp pedal input?

Most grateful for this advice, found it by accident yesterday, and went straight out today and got me a DP-10. Works perfectly, and allowed me to use the standard Sustain input as sostenuto (which I missed, I do not care about the soft pedal).

So on the fatar I use a standard on/off pedal in the sustain input, and a DP-10 continous pedal in the volume input. In PianoTeq I have changed the midi settings as follows:
- CC64 is now sostenuto, no other changes.
- CC07 is now sustain. Looking at the values received by PianoTeq I could see that the pedal only transmitted in the range 0 - 98, and therefore I changed the minimum value in the range for sustain (I am currently using 0.12 - 1.00) to get the pedal reaction I wanted.
- Controller 0 is now volume
The easiest way to change the values is to activate the controller you want to use, then find the setting you want to change and open the controller selector, then PianoTeq automatically suggests the controllers last applied.

How about as a VST? As a VST in Renoise (linux) half pedaling works perfectly afaict.

Partial Solution found. With the DP-10 plugged into the volume output of SL-880 then go to Options tab/midi and change the sustain pedal controller number from 64 to 7 and save via the menu underneath. Then callibrate the pedal and the message comes up saying 'you have a continuous sustain pedal' However couldn't get the half pedal calibration to work properly.
However and annoyingly this will not work when using as an AU. In fact cannot find a way of getting the continuous sustain work in Logic even with a transformer as a new environment object as explained here.

It refuses to do anything except be a volume pedal!

Perhaps any Logic midi experts may be able to illuminate further?

Unfortunately there is no facility to re-assign midi on these keyboards.

What you want to do is assign the expression/volume pedal to CC#64 ...the keyboard's user manual (or dr.Google) should be able to tell you how exactly.

Everything is working beautifully with pianoteq except this. There have been a few posts on the subject but no actual solutions. I like the feel of my old SL 880 which has a volume pedal output but how to convert this to expression? I am using a DP 10 foot pedal. Creating an a new controller object in Logic doesn't work unfortunately.
Any answers would be much appreciated! Thanks.
