1) I'm not very surprised that a strong 8th partial gives the feeling of doubling octave. In Pianoteq Standard, try reducing the 8th partial in the voicing panel (something like -6 dB should do it). With the Pro version, one can even adjust them note per note. If it's really the second partial that bothers you, apply the same procedure to the second partial instead.

2) Here you would need the Pro version which would allow you to increase the impedance there where you want to.

Heya all,

The bluethner model sounds awesome, just a few things annoy me about it, that i'd really like to fix....

1) Is there any way to get rid of the OCTAVE DOUBLING effect heard on the mid-range notes? One of the devs replied to an earlier question of mine saying it has to do with the hammer strike point resulting in a partial/harmonic 3 octaves above the fundamental. This is NOT what i'm hearning. The extra frequencies i'm hearing are definitely 1 octave higher than the fundamental (basic note) and not 3 octaves. Plus, changing the strike point "partially" solves the problem, but makes the whole piano sound somewhat...unusable.

2) i'd really like more sustain on the higher notes (2 or 3 last octaves) without affecting the whole range. I have pianoteq standard, and not pro. Aside from adding an absurd amount of reverb, what can be done about this?
