This it the amateur entry to the contest with my rendition of the Rosemary's Lullaby by Komeda.  Whilst this is a selection of the Painoteq's amazing 'Recently Played on Keyboard' functionality' (63 days) rather than an explicit effort,  I do hope this seemingly let-go attitude shall be easily forgiven.

The functionality is probably great to the pro's but it now seems equally fun to the odd travelling academic experimenting with the electronic sound, pining for 'his' institutional Bechsteins, Bluthners, Gaveaus  & Pleyels.  Listening to the workouts on the Kawai+Pianoteq is like looking at the pictures you took in Greece at some time years ago and just forgot their beauty.  I have a vivid memory of being surprised by the physical aspect of playing an essentially plastic keyboard hooked up the the Pianoteq.

This is not to day that Kawai CN-32 is not great as a digital piano.

a midi file of that would be quite nice to be able to use as a standard demo of the various Modartt keyboards
and . . . also,  I think the recording could benefit if the right and left channels were sounding.  I kept leaning to one side of the bench while listening (not).

This is my own composition - an invention in the style of J. S. Bach. I wrote it in Logic's piano roll and saved to midi then imported into Pianoteq, 'cos just haven't got time now to practice it well enough to do a video - so I've done this screen video of the Pianoteq interface as it plays. You'll see the screen video lags a bit, but hey!

I could say a LOT more about how it opens up possibilities for me. I just released a Mozart album using the D4 and have had great feedback about the production quality.

But it's the point I make in the video that is the clincher for me. A piano has got to have a soul to be really exciting to play. And for me, Pianoteq has that magic! I keep it fairy low key as I don't want people to think I'm a nutter (I may be) saying stuff about souls and magic but hopefully the little speech and Chopin's music will get the point across.
