My Roland KR7 has continuous damper pedal values from zero to 127, not just half pedal, but the full 128 values.

I have recorded many midi files and have edited them in my midi editor and can see the values.

Having said that, I've DL'd midi files and have seen pedal values of zero, 64, and 127; some just have zero and 127, some all three (0, 64, 127), but many have the full range.

On a recording I did when playing St. Louis Blues, the first Pedal Control values are: 0, 5, 36, 66, 101, 125, and 127. I was applying the damper pedal and from time = 1:01:096 until time = 2:01:022 I had gone from no pedal to full damper pedal down.

I also have a few midi files from other beta testers, and they all seem to have the full range of Pedal Control values. Listz's HR2 by the Evil Dragon (a contributor here) has the full range of values.

Most higher end digital pianos can detect and record the full range.

Glenn
