I hope Chris won't mind if I answer. You can put the impulse wave files anywhere. I store mine in a subfolder of a documents folder along with another subfolder of midi files and a subfolder with notes and pdfs about pianos and sound.

To use one of the impulse files in Pianoteq:

1. From the main interface, click on Effects.
2. Beside the word "Reverb" click on the name of the current reverb preset.
3. Near the bottom of the pop-up menu, click on Use WAV impulse, and then on Load WAV impulse.
4. Navigate to the folder that you want, double-click on the impulse, and it will load and be ready for you to adjust.

Seems as though you have opened to the door to much experimentation.  Again, your recording sounds excellent and the sense of space is very authentic.

PianoTEQ, "Bluthner Concert Recording BA" preset -as is (unadjusted), and,
Bricasti,    "Boston A" (Boston Hall A) M-S Impulse Response

Hmm. In each set in the zip file that I downloaded, there are three wave files--a left, right, and M-S file, which I take to mean Mono to stereo file. Did you use the M-S file for your demo, Chris?

Thanks Chris for the very nice demo and the free IR link! Quite a complete set! It will take some time to fully explore it but a random check shows they sound marvelous with pianoteq...

I also noticed that drag and drop of IR files is possible, making it much easier to scan this huge collection...
