Last week, I posted a link to a video of Carole King playing and singing her song ...Natural Woman. Here's another old video of her playing it in another small hall, this time with a bass player. Again, the piano is reduced in volume:

I'm assuming that people know about the site that lets you save these videos. Sometimes, you have to save them as "low quality" films, or only machine code is saved, but the original videos are fairly old, and don't suffer much:

I think I posted the first video partly just to remind us all of a piano sound we've known for many years. But I have to admit that my age-old crush on Carole King is showing through here, along with my general love of women song-writers who write and perform on the piano.
