There is a keyboard shortcut (alt-D) to suspend midi input/audio output in Pianoteq. Another way to mute is to make a a velocity preset which maps all midi to zero and save as a preset. Its relatively simple (with a mouse) to change velocity presets (or reset default) to toogle between unmuted and muted. I prefer this method to alt-D because I typically like to have Pianoteq automatically record all my midi even if I'm playing a different virtual instrument. Also, the alt-D method does not re-connect the midi connection when you re-connect with a second alt-D (at least on linux this is true).A velocity preset can be assigned to a midi event to allow another control option.
