One of the Admins long ago posted a recommendation of a 'LoopBe1' to use with PTQ for this purpose. I ran with the hint and got it running using Winamp as the playlist-runner, PTQ as the player, LoopBe1 as the software 'cable' connecting them.

Once LoopBe1 is installed (and you never tell it to turn itself off), PTQ will find it if it's set to be listening for all MIDI (the default?). Thus you only need to get WinAmp's MIDI player routine to connect to
LoopBe1 and you've got a system. Doing that's a bit counter-intuitive, but keep on trawling thru WinAmp's howto-s and you'll find the needed spellout sooner or later.

ADDED: hang it, I looked up what I did, and you select Preferences>Plugins>Input>Nullsoft_Midi_Player>Configure, then choose LoopBe1 (which of course has to be running). That's it, though you got me how that's an Input.

But it wouldn't be hard to get a show going all on your own. It can be done for sure, using some other list-player, which might be better!

As Beto-Music said Pianoteq will only play one file at a time. On linux, I use the kmid midi player which supports playlists and feed the midi output to Pianoteq in order to play multiple midi files. It would be a nice feature improvement if Pianoteq could also use playlists and a midi out would be nice too.

Pianoteq stand alone version can run midi files, but it will play it using some of the pianoteq instruments.

I think is not possible to direct play a entire list, you need to sellect one by one.

Is it possible to use Pianoteq as a midi player? I mean open midi files in queue like in playlist.
