I will check out the link. I want to add my recipe for live use too.

I use maize studio - http://www.maizesoft.cn/ms/

It's a free modular enviroment that you can setup as you want it. I find it straight forward use. I've got Pianoteq, Lounge Lizard, Xpress kybds - B4, FM7, Pro-53 - & EZdrummer setup on my laptop, to be played from my Axiom 61 which includes finger drumpads. Not a great weighted feel, but it's light & compact.

It's small and portable enough to carry to rehearsals, along with my acoustic gtr in the other hand & the laptop on my back. I'm using a Line6 UX2 toneport as soundbox, which I run my Ac gtr through it's virtual gtr modeller software, AND if that's not enough, my vox mic through it's preamp/ compressor section!

Quite a setup as I read this. And it works at gigs too!

How do others set up live?

Greetz,
Lukeman

Hello,

Don't know if it has been mentioned on this forum, already, but for those of you using Pianoteq and other VSTs live, I can recommend a great VST host: Forte from Brainspawn.

Without having tried any other program like it, I think it's safe to say that it's the best you can get.
Endless programming capabilities, easy to use, fast and very stable.

Plus, it's quite low-priced as well!

Check it out at: www.brainspawn.com

/Anders
