I recommend the free PDF-Xchange viewer at http://www.tracker-software.com/product...ge-viewer/ (if using a Windows computer or if using Linux, it works fine in Wine). The reason why is PDF-Xchange allows you to write on the PDF score and save it. It also can automatically load the music you are working in when run, which makes it easier to setup and start playing. The program works well with a USB foot pedal for changing pages. I used to run Windows with Pianoteq and PDF-Xchange on a tablet computer to display music, but have seperated it now into a laptop for Pianoteq (running Ubuntu) and a used slate PC (Motion Computing M1400 running Windows XP), which was pretty cheap and only used for displaying music. If your computer is fast enough, you can do both on the same computer, but every now and then you might hear crackle sounds in Pianoteq when the computer is not able to multitask well enough between playing sound and displaying music.
