Due to some sad things in my social circuit, I haven't had the chance to make an appointment with the Erard Restauration Company in Amsterdam.... Meanwhile I re-recorded teh Chopin pieces with another fxp setting of the Erard. See website (Andermans veren/Chopin Collection). I didn't upload the new fxp yet. Will do after the weekend.

Raymond

Edited message: as promised the fxp I used for the Chopin Recital in my website

https://www.box.com/s/b32102c395835a17ec8c

Greetings

So have fun with the "real" Erard in one of the next weeks, and maybe post back here how you liked it, and if you had any suggestions for the pianoteq-Erard maybe. Just listening to your Chopin-pieces...

A collection of pieces by Chopin, played with the Erard (PT version 4.0.3) with the fxp file:

https://www.box.com/s/f5a4387c381dad14d207

I altered this one into:

https://www.box.com/s/13d8aaa428dddd2f1a57

The first one is better for "close to the player" or "player perspective"
The second one is better for "performance in an small ambience/salon/piano room"

The collection of pieces can be found here:

https://www.box.com/s/4c4706561e65284b0fba and played with the first fxp (.....recital3)

I noticed some nasal sound in the mid registers, in particular Etude 1 Op. posth (left hand). Don't know if this is the Erard sound or that it has to do with my settings. In spite of what I hoped for, I didn't play myself the real instrument in Amsterdam. I give it another try the coming weeks.

Maybe you can "solve" this issue for me (if solvable).

Raymond
