The name of the preset is also necessary to reproduce and change this - although I think you can have this with a real piano.
And perhaps, how did you modify the preset?

I have this problem with speakers and headphones. The sound samples are recorded direct from VST host.
Other VST pianos (for example TruePianos) sounds correct.

Hi Nien

Do you have this problem listening both with speakers and headphones ?
If you only have used your speakers till now it could be a bass peak produced by a room resonance.

By "flat velocity curve" do you mean that every note is being recorded in your sequencer with the same velocity value of 100 ? Or is this a Pianoteq setting where you turn off MIDI controller velocity reception and have each note playback exactly at 100 ? If you are not viewing your MIDI in a sequencer, I would definitely do that to make sure that you have a constant velocity value. It could easily be that your MIDI controller has a problem with reading the velocity with the C2 key on your piano. Have you tried a different keyboard controller with the same computer and hardware setup ? The C2 key gets a lot of abuse... at least from a hack like me... Finally -the playback of the note can be adjusted individually in Pianoteq Pro, if that is the version you are using, if it turns out to be your keyboard and you can't get it fixed right away.

This is a forum between Pianoteq users, sharing their experiences. Although here are many helpful users, it is not a support forum.

I suggest that you contact the Pianoteq support team here. They will then have a look at what might be wrong and check if the problem resides in your hardware or software setup. Please also upload your files using another provider than Microsoft (or email the files to the support when being asked).

Hi,

I have a strange and long-term problem with Pianoteq sound. The C2-tone sounds too strong (in my opinion). I have never met with this on real piano.

My setup:
MIDI Controller: Studiologic VMK 188+
VST Host: Cantabile Performer
Pianoteq version: 4.0.4

Sound examples:

D4 - "Boogie pattern" (Moderately slow velocity curve)

It's normal? What can I do to supress this "ringing"? I think it's not a hardware problem because of same effect with curved and flat velocity curve.

I use Pianoteq from version 3 and I love it, but this is really annoying. :-/
