The problem with that is that at the end of the day it will be a tweaked D4 where I want it to be a 12 foot carbon fiber monster with Compressed CO2 powered hammers, an explode pedal and it should be able to brew coffee as well.

The brewing coffee part sounds real good

The problem with that is that at the end of the day it will be a tweaked D4 where I want it to be a 12 foot carbon fiber monster with Compressed CO2 powered hammers, an explode pedal and it should be able to brew coffee as well.

Irmin, nothing stops you from making great fxp's using the Pro version - within each model you can still create new pianos to help Pianoteqs' library grow

1) It'd be built from scratch, definitely not as a D4 variant.

Hi,

2 Questions:

1) If Modartt where to release a new piano for PianoTeq 4. Say its a Bluther. Is the model built from scratch or is it simply a tweaked model of the current D4 model? So what I am asking for each piano type is there a new model/engine for that piano within the software?

2) If each piano is a new model in the code. Wouldn't it be wonderful if Modartt would release some sort of SDK which would allow people to create their own models :-) The hard-core trade-secret stuff could be hidden behind the API but we would be able to create new pianos to our hearts content. Assuming that was possible and Modartt were willing I'm sure that it would do amazing things for PianoTeqs growth within the market.
