Thanks, but I doubt that it is part of the Sympathetic Resonance control - it was nothing to do with sympathetic resonance. From the V3 manual:

8.5 Quadratic effect
On hard strikes, the nonlinear part of the string response increases, adding new frequencies to the sound. The quadratic effect parameter allows you to control the loudness of this nonlinear response.

Simplification of the GUI. The effect is still contained in Sympathetic resonance slider, IIRC.

The "quadratic effect" parameter appears to have been removed in V4. Why was this done?
