Thank you. Excellent sound coming from the Physis Piano. I would have guessed it for an acoustic. Too bad all of their 5 samples are fairly restricted in range. I would like to hear some larger range. Here's a sample of what I mean: http://itunes.apple.com/us/album/everyd...204134081. She really gives that grand a work out. You can hear all the nuances and twangs that you won't hear in a digital. Maybe the Physis can do that. Would be interesting to know.

The only things that would compare to Pianoteq are Roland V-Piano (at $6000) and soon to be released Viscount Physis Piano (price TBA).

I just discovered Pianoteq today. I think it is amazingly realistic sounding. I've been researching digitals that have a real acoustic sound but have not found any. I've heard online demos of the Kawai MP-10 and Roland FP-7F but they still very much sound like digitals. Maybe an in person demo would be better.

What I find as the main differences are all the nuances and twangs coming from a real piano. I don't hear any of that in digitals. But I do hear it in Pianoteq software.

Are there any keyboard that sound as realistic as the Pianoteq software? Rather than applying realistic sound post production, I'd like to hear it as I'm playing.
