Jake, you should explain in the title and body of your post that these are impulse response profiles that are useful for adding additional reverberation presets to Pianoteq 4.

Oh sorry, we forgot to update it, down right now, thanks for mentioning.

what are these and what do I do with them?

1)click Effects

2)you see REVERB and < something here >
      click "name" between the two arrows

3)you see a list of presets and down:
       Use WAV impulse

4) then in another menu you see in the top:
        Load WAV impulse
just locate where your impulse(s) are and that's it

i suggest you create a new folder (in Pianoteq 4) and name it IRs and put all Impulse Responses 

I have a thought, which I mention because of the experienced IR-hunters here, and which could make for an interesting experiment.

Has anyone encountered the impulse response for an empty piano cabinet?

I have a good useful one that Jake Johnson refered to in one of our past beta session. It's called appropriately "knock.wav" but with such a common name, I can't find its web location (probably somewhere on box.net). The cabinet is not empty though...it's a knock on the cabinet of a large upright if I recall.

I tried uploading it on the "Other files" section but wav files are not allowed (yet) and I don't think it's a good idea to compress into mp3 just to upload it, so I think wav format (with appropriate size limit) should be added in that forum section for us to exchange impulses.

If Jake reads this post, he could also give the path.

I used it with some success to add some "wood", one way being to mix the file with another standard hall impulse. be aware though that the knock also excites the harp of the piano which then is added to the one modelled by pianoteq.
