I use it for the piano and the harpsichord sounds alongside my Alesis Fusion for other sounds (organ, strings and all)

Andy Tillison of The Tangent (http://www.thetangent.org/) uses a lot of virtual instruments hosted on a PC, including "grand pianos by Modartt" i.e. Pianoteq. (from the technical subtitles in "Going Off On Two" DVD).

I use it along with VGP 2 as PTeqPro 3 had sostenuto, and I can have a nice Upright sound from detuning in the upper ranges, and straight sounds in the BassClef.
It's become a really great sounding choice and the Wurlitzer sounds are really nice too.

YES! And judging from other people's posts here, I'm not the only one

In my case, it's a jazz/fusion/funk band and I'm not sure whether the difference in sound translates through the PA to the audience. However, Pianoteq allows me to play more subtle and with more feeling and I guess that's something the audience can definitely perceive (apart from that it makes the music better and increases my own 'playing pleasure' ).

It would be interesting to hear experiences from other people who use Pianoteq live!
Do you use any specific tricks, tweaking etc. to make your presets suit a live environment (i.e. horrible PAs...)?

just curious how popular it is since pianoteq sounds better
then most digital pianos I heard.
