I have never used Ableton, but -- in general -- when notes become cut very short, there's a possibility of two conflicting midi note-on/note-off signals being sent simultaneously to the same midi channel.

Reading that the plug works fine for you in Reaper and as a standalone, is there anything in the Ableton setup that might be sending two simultaneous signals into the same channel? (i.e., midi feedback loop, or sending in omni mode perhaps?)

Joe

Hi

Does anyone have any idea why notes played in the VST Pianoteq Play within Ableton Live might be irregularly (but very often) cutting very short, while the same plug works fine in Reaper, and the standalone version is fine?

I'm on Windows 7 BTW. Play works very well, incidentally, on the iMac (if only I could say the same for the iMac itself!)

Many thanks for any help.
