Sigasa:

oops!sorry! I forgot to mention that the changes I "perceive" are positive, and absolutely not negative ! I know it is not possible, but I find sounds more "pure" and more ... I do not know how to say, but: before the plant is,I thought factory sounds were superb, but a little "bland" to my ear (that is why i need "create" my sound "last gentleman") ... but now the factory sounds seems different to me, more ... I don't know what...

PS:what you say about samples rates, what is it, i do not have this setting

OK Imyself

I will have a look at this. But first lets eliminate any variables.

1. Do the sample rates PLAY match exactly that of PRO?

2. Make sure you have exactly the same default preset selected in PLAY as in PRO
i.e. that neither have '(Modified)' in the selection area

3. Listen through exactly the same audio devices i.e. soundcard, headphones/speakers.

4. Make sure you are using exactly the same audio driver i.e. ASIO4ALL or your
    soundcard's dedicated driver

5. Use exactly the same settings on your controller keyboard for both PRO/PLAY
comparison (alternatively, use the same test midi file).

As a sidenote, I opened up PianoTeq Pro, set the sample rates (both internal and host) to 48000 then closed it. I then downloaded and opened up PianoTeq PLAY and the sample rates were different (41000/41000). I would sugggest you first check your sample rates in both to make sure they match. I can hear a marked difference in PianoTeq PRO when sample rate set to 48000 than when set to 41000. The same difference can be heard when PLAY and PRO are set differently (at the lower sample rates i.e. 48000 downwards).

Hope this helps. Let me know your findings if you will,

kind regards,

Chris

p.s. if you could post two demo mp3's, one of PLAY and the other, PRO for comparison, I would be grateful. Thank you.

hi everyone,

i have been offered to acquire Pianoteq Pro ,and, although knowing that the same software (as no update needed) I am convinced that, i do not know where, something has changed, really The sonds are the same but are different at the same time, and i am relly conviced of this, my ear is very rarely wrong ... if someone who feels this way ... maybe, Sigasa, charming person, if any, whose deep interest in music seems real, could possibly enlighten me on why i feel a difference: where there is no difference...

thank you
