The version number is 3.6.6/20110117. The 'Test' button is working for DirectSound and ASIO, but the virtual keyboard is still greyed out in both modes, and there is no sound. Tried rebooting, but that didn't help either.

Also tried another VST just to make sure that was working, and it is.

Any other ideas?

Oh, OS is Windows 7 64-bit SP1, and the sound card is an HT Omega Striker. CPU is an Athlon 64 Dual Core, 5100 I think.

Is the 'test' button working in the options / audio panel when you have selected a directsound or asio device ? If it is not, then maybe you can try to reboot your computer and see if it works better.

Decided to give Pianoteq a spin... fired it up once and it worked ok, but when I tried running it again later on, there is no sound. It receives midi messages from my keyboard, but the on screen 'virtual' keyboard is greyed out, and I spent about half an hour playing with the settings trying to make something happen, but I got nothing.

I tried installing ASIO4ALL (since I needed an asio driver anyway), but that did nothing. Trying to switch between directsound and asio has no affect, virtual keyboard still greyed out. Also tried uninstalling/reinstalling Pianoteq, but that didn't work either.

Help???
