I'm jealous I never managed to get Pianoteq to sound anything like a piano. I should strart studying the manual

Thanks for mentioning that, evildragon - I had no clue. Really new to the party after playing with quite a few sample-based vstis .

My opinion was just based on the poll - for me v3 is superb, but well, v4 might be even better

As I used sample-based pianos for quite some time and got Pianoteq only about a week ago, I'm of course very happy and though I understand your impatience - I just enjoy the superb sounds I get.
Maybe if it would be released not too far away there would be a "grace period" like in other software-companies. Otherwise my 249Euro spent would mean I'd have to wait a bit to save the money anyway .
But for all of us things are great - new versions will add nice stuff, and in the meantime nobody steals our v3 . Off to play now! Cheerio all around.

I think about PT4 almost every day, since I use PT3 almost every day...I bought a Roland FP7F a few days ago because I was sold on the SuperNATURAL Piano idea, but after comparing them back and forth for 2 days, I returned the Roland because it was no comparison. The day PT4 comes out, I'm canceling whatever plans I have...school, work, family, and girlfriend will come second that day

I sense it will not be too long away! There's been such quiet from Modartt for some time now. I think they are working VERY hard to produce something EXTRA special!!!

What's the latest on a release date for PT4?

I'm really looking forward to a sound quality update, although I love PT3, I still miss that final authentic character/body/wood that it still doesn't quite have. I know Modartt will nail it, but when?
