Hi Abi!

Here is the "Stack-Sound": http://www.forum-pianoteq.com/uploads.p..._01-03.MP3

I think the problem is the differnt velo-setting everyone has. I´m not shure that I´ve enough time left to harmonize the velo-settings of the world. Maby someone else has the passion. but for me it´s ok to hear the directions in which people develope their sound, and that I could hear with your mp3 and fxp file. So what I´ve done is to change the velocity of the midifile in the dynamic range but did´nt change the piano and forte settings in my presets. Tell me what you miss in the sound so that I can go further in programming pianoteq. (if you like)

many thanks so far

Heinke

Hans: Yes, I think your keyboard's velocity curve is vastly different than mine. I can see it from your fxps. A callable velocity settings would help in this case. I use pianoteq on 3 different keyboards depending on how much I'd like to lug around when I go on gigging. I tend to make 3 different fxps for each keyboard to match each curve.

Heinke: Thanks for your comment. I'll upload the midi file later tonight. I'd love to hear your stacking work.

-- Abi

Hi Abi

I tried your fxp and there's a bit too much 'bite' too my taste... I guess that's the difference in keyboard velocity which does that - after all your mp3 sounds great...
I think this really asks for user velocity presets. Then we can also exchange those.. if someone makes a (near) perfect velocity preset for a certain type of keyboard, others using the same keyboard could use that too...
And with all different users here we could get a pretty big library of those presets I'd imagine.
That way you end up with predictable results for every user....

(so again some sort of 'combined forces' task maybe?)

cheers
Hans
