Some quick answers:

Kachaloo: If the computer in the studio belongs to you, then you may install it there. If the computer does not belong to you, it will require a separate licence.

Greg: Madness used Pianoteq 2 in that video. I cannot tell exactly what preset or settings they used though.

It sounds too mellow and not aggressive enough for my taste.

FWIW, I quite like the sound that Madness get in the featured song here: http://pianoteq.com/references (scroll down) HOWEVER, I'm not 100% sure it's actually Pianoteq - the text sort of implies it though. (anyone?)

pteq in rock mix, license question

I guess getting any piano to sit well in a rock mix is quite an artscience, ha. I posted in the download section.

As may be readily obvious, I'm not a real genuine pianist. Still I am interested in just how "painfully" obvious it is to those with developed piano sensibilities. I am looking for feedback as to the "naturalness" of the performance (touch,etc.) and how the Yamaha stage close miked works in the mix. At this point I have the player version of pteq.

I stripped all the "hamfooted" sustain pedal stuff from the intro, so I definitely have some work there, but the comping parts seem to work fairly well. Anyway, don't spare the rod, ha.

Also, if I want to use pteq in the studio, can the engineer "borrow" my license so as to enable tweaking? Anyone know?
