On a happier note,  has it not occurred to you that you possess the technology to follow in the footsteps of Messiaen? Something like Le merle noir to start with, perhaps. Almost all Digital Audio Workstation software has the capability to change the replay speed of a sound sample, which makes transcription of birdsong an almost mechanical exercise. The charm of course is that birds are free from brain conditioning, labotomies, pavlovian response, and stockholm syndrome.

Perhaps a lot of the intelligence that people talk about, are mostly a translate conversion ability. A ability to translate thoughts to movements and notes on a paper.

Well... what I mean is that everyone imagine music. Maybe some people, despite of do not know music theories etc...  have a imagination to potential built beautiful music.

To be absolutely honest, part of the thrill of playing an instrument is, er, playing the instrument!!! I love it when I have made a piece so much part of me that it just
feels so beautiful under my fingers. I for one would not want to bother creating music with my head!

Also I think that is part of the reason we all seek the 'best piano action/best PianoTeq sound etc.. We wish to create/recreate the experience as closely as possible to that of playing a real flesh and bone piano! [No jokes please Beto!!! ]

Theoretically such a device could be used with pianoteq. But whether it's currently accurate enough to pick up and translate rhythm, pace and also multiple notes I do not know.

Although I'm gradually getting better at actually playing the keys, most of the music I can imagine is lost in the translation.

Some day I hope we'll all be able to perform concertos with our eyes closed and arms crossed, in, ooh I dunno - "Encephaloteq"?
