No feature request should be needed. As long as you can find buttons that send appropriate messages you should be able to send midi messages to control the recorder.

From the MIDI tab one can insert new options to use controllers to stop, rewind, pause, play or record for the built in recorder.

Also, there is an edit keyboard shortcuts button you can get to from the general tab in the options dialog. However, there are default keys for the built in "sequencer":

rewind (backspace)
record (*)
pause (I)
Play/pause (spacebar)
toggle metronome (ctrl + m)
One can also load or save midi with ctrl + o and ctrl + s

So, no adjustments or feature requests are needed here, just a bit of learning the keys or even changing them to suit your own preferences.

I find the recording function very useful and I'm using it constantly rather than opening my sequencing program. What would be extremely useful would be the ability to assign the record, stop, play, rewind, etc buttons to keys on a computer keyboard and/or midi controllers. At present the space bar is set to start or stop play, which is great, but those other functions aren't implemented as far as I can tell.

Is there any interest in this, and would this feature be something that Modartt might consider implementing in a future update?

Thanks,
Michael
