After saying this I really must say that I enjoy playing this instrument!

Hi everyone. I hope everyone is enjoying as much as myself playing piano though I play organ too (Hammond) and I am sure many others are into all types of keyboards.

I really like it. I played the demo but the retail sounds much better with all the notes.

I have it installed with the allowed 3 computers since one of my Macbook Pros burned a chip on the logicboard and in the process of being fixed.

Because of the above, I put it in a Windows, VERY slow XP computer of 1.53 clocked Mhz. It runs very well though I was running it with higher bandwidth with the MBP. I put another stick of memory in it but it actually ran with 256k of memory! A sampled piano could never do this.

Pianoteq Play takes quite a while to open (as much as a minute or more) but like I said runs surprisingly well in this OLD, slow computer laying around for years.

A problem I have is I always have to boot twice. The "re-activate" window comes up and I have to reboot in Windows (back, temporarily, into Windows problems again being a Mac user is not appreciated). This is just temporary as I am using this small desktop in my studio. I plan to de-activate the Windows PC after I get my MBP up and running again with the SSD.

(This is firewire out to a Fireface 800 that I use for the MBPs)

After saying this I really must say that I enjoy playing this instrument! Now when I can play all notes I realized that the problem with the sound really depends on velocity curve. When I got it right it really sounds great (except for the extra hamondlike sound when playing an octave with K1 from the lowest possible e  to the second lowest possible a that I written about earlier) !

So a big thank You for this extra contribution of Pianoteq!

Can you upgrade from Play to Standard and/or Pro ?

Of course, you just pay the difference in price. Basically, it works like paying on lease. First you pay 99€ for basic version. Then if you want more power, add 150€ and you have Standard version. If you're a real tweaker, you add another 150€ whenever you feel ready and you have Pro.

It can load them, but will only take into account the modifications of parameters that are available in Pianoteq Play: reverb settings, action noises etc. If the fxp also contains modifications of "unison width" or "strings length", they will be ignored when you load it into Pianoteq Play.

Is it the same with Pro-presets and Normal PTQ-Version (Individual note by note changes f.e.)?
