Lina Sandell wrote the hymn "Jag kan icke räkna dem alla" in 1880. The melody was later composed by Albert Lindström in 1889.
The hymn is based on a comparison between God’s acts of goodness and the countless stars in the sky. They cannot be counted — one can only pause in awe and give thanks.
