Emanuel Gohle (1867-1937) was a German composer who helped shape the musical culture of the New Apostolic Church (NAC). He studied music and worked as a teacher at the Berlin Conservatoire.
The melody of the hymn “Herrlich, herrlich bauet Gott sein Werk” or “Glorious, glorious is the work of God” is composed in the tradition of revivalist hymns and was included in the New Apostolic Hymnal (New Apostolic Church Hymnal No. 344, New Apostolic Hymnal No. 280). The lyrics describe the workings and the building up of God’s work on earth. Musically, the piece is characterised by a catchy style typical of early 20th-century church music in this context. It is a hymn that was frequently used in church services.

Nice to hear the guitar duo. One in left ear and the other in right ear feels good. Then of course it changes when the violin is coming in.

Glorious, glorious is the work of God. Yes, I have been thinking of that now .Here in Finland, summer is getting a little closer, birds are singing, gathering food, flying to their nests... I was a little moved when I saw life in nature and got inspired to compose.
