Thank you budo.</p><p>The piece is not as groundbreaking as some of his work you have played , but a great composition nonetheless.<br />Nice soft slow ending.</p><p>I read somewhere that the pice is known for being a &quot;hard to play&quot; earworm, often featuring Monk’s signature dissonant, percussive piano style. <br />I can&#039;t comment on that, but how does it feel to play compared to previous Monk pieces?</p><p>Thank you budo for sharing.<br />I gave a comment on Ev&#039;rything I Love (Cole Porter) too.</p><p>Best wishes,</p><p>Stig</p></blockquote></div><p>thank you so much Stig.&nbsp; indeed this ballad sounds a lot more traditional than some of his other things, but there are still some wacky aspects that make it his signature style.&nbsp; i think it&#039;s a testament to how subtle he can be.&nbsp; there are not many composers who can take a fairly traditional song form and do something completely new like he can.</p><p>i think it was easier to play for me than some things, mainly because people aren&#039;t as familiar with this one so i didn&#039;t have to worry about living up to some classic interpretation.&nbsp; it took some of the pressure off <i class="far fa-smile smiley"></i></p>]]></content>
