Anton Diabelli (1781 - 1858) was an Austrian composer, guitarist, and pianist. He lived and worked in Vienna (Austria) for many years. He composed mainly music for piano and guitar and founded a music publishing house.
The Andantino cantabile is the first movement of Sonatina No. 1 in G major, Op. 151. The composition is written in the early Romantic style and features a catchy, song-like (cantabile) melody. The musical mood is cheerful and easy to follow.

We released this recording several years ago. We have now created a new mix of the old recording using Pianoteq 9.

This piece by Diabelli is truly lovely.
I've heard several of his compositions in typical Viennese style, and they're very interesting as a composer.
Perhaps today this composer is remembered by most only for the little waltz that inspired Beethoven's famous variations, Op. 120.

Nice playing Unruh. I thought I could learn this one too - but - then I listened to the second and third part,  Scherzo Allegro and Rondo Allegretto.
The Scherzo!!!  Just sparkles!   Not for me. 

Anyway, for some reason I thought you could play your oboe instead of the right hand - might be something....
