I did do some updates after the feedback from Stig, we will see if the results are in the right direction. One of the challenges I hit with the system is most of the changes I end up making tend not to be better or worse but usually just different and I can add one improvement but often at the cost of another area.

Ken

Hi Stig,

Thank you very much for your input, you are 100% right and those are areas that I have struggled with with this system. Those are the human elements that are hard to minic intelligently in a algorithmic way (at least for me). Even AI, which is trained on real songs still struggles in those areas, but not nearly as much as mine. My algorithms have 0 basis in preexisting songs, just basic music theory. Bluthner is a bit muddier than the Bosendorfer. I was trying to make use a softer tone but maybe the trade off wasn't good.

You have definitely given me some targets to shoot for.

Ken

But I like the first one Blinded more. It might be because of the piano sound, I think, in this song that the Bösendorfer sounds better.

If it's possible, I don’t know if possiblke, I definitely think your music would benefit from including dynamics. Used effectively, dynamics help sustain variety and interest in your musical performance, and communicate a particular emotional state and feeling. I don’t remember which one, but in one of your pieces there was a crec/dim in a place and it made a huge differens….

Well, these are just thoughts…..
Anyway interesting this your ”system”. Keep going and try to surprise me, if possible.

Thank you ken for sharing your music. It is unique in this forum and a good ”addition” to the normal uploads….

Best wishes,

Stig
