Congrats on noticing this! The behaviour of double-click has indeed been changed in version 9, it now resets the slider's position to its preset value.

There are several ways to open Note Edit in Pianoteq 9:
1. right-clicking a slider to open it pop-up menu, and selecting Note Edit from the pop-up menu,
2. Alt-clicking the slider (Option-clicking on Mac), or
3. clicking the slider, then clicking the Note Edit button at the top of the interface (as you described).

After some discussion with the beta team, we decided in favor of this change for the following reasons:
- It is common practice in audio plugins to use double-click to reset a parameter, therefore this change improves the experience for new or occasional users of Pianoteq.
- For users of Pianoteq Stage and Standard, double-clicking sliders previously had no effect in most cases.
- Access to Note Edit is still quickly available through the pop-up menu or Alt-click.
- While it is a small disruption for Pianoteq Pro users, the use of Note Edit is mostly for fine adjustments, therefore it makes sense to prioritize faster gestures for the main interface.

Out of curiosity, what do you usually do when you use the Note Edit feature?

Hoping you enjoy Pianoteq 9!

In the previous version, you could quickly edit the parameters for each note by double-clicking the desired slider in the main interface. Now, double-clicking doesn't open the note editor. Only clicking the slider and then clicking the "Note Editor" button will open the editor for the parameters you last clicked on. If this is intended, we'll have to relearn how to do it. Or maybe it's just been overlooked in updates?
