So I read the wrong page. Anyway, I'll use Pianoteq 8 in that case and my old machine won't be working for ever^^. Long live Pianoteq. And as I can read from your link, it is quite like I thought. I was so accustomed to the fact that Modartt would not "throw out" users of older machines that I did not even check. But it is quite understandable that the latest technology is needed for Pianoteq 9.

Are there huge performance differences to 8? As 8 runs wonderfully on my oldie. I will find out and then decide if an upgrade to Windows 10 would make sense for the old PC. Thanks again.

Hi all, delete at will if problem is solved . User since v1, I of course upgraded to Pianoteq 9 without thinking twice. But this time (I already contacted the support, but of course with new versions there will be quite some mails^^) - the installer stops after letting me choose english as language. Windows 8.1 tells me the exe was not compatible with my Windows.
But it is, as everything from Windows 7 up is supported . So might this be a bug which would be repaired in the next 9.03 or so?
Looking forward to playing with Pianoteq 9 on my oldie PC - up to now it always ran wonderfully, with only 8GB Ram and a machine from 2012
