You must connect your keyboard to your iPad, not to your interface I mean...

I am trying to use Pianoteq with an iPad Pro and an interface Focusrite Scarlett. I connect both with usb c and connect a Kawai MP 7 to the interface via MIDI out 5 pins to XLR 3 pins entrance in the interface.
