With VPC Editor you can check and modify (with the mouse) the configuration of the Pedals of the VPC1. The values must be: Left Pedal 67 Center Pedal 66 Right Pedal 64

I wonder why the assignment is wrong on the Kawai VCP-1? I am still learning my way around the Pianoteq so can you please write down step by step if possible? Thanks Dai

Sure,

1. Push your sustain pedal. Watch which pedal is moving in the Pianoteq UI
2. Right click on the pedal that moved
3. in the drop down, select "Sustain Pedal"

It's odd that your pedal layout doesn't match the usual arrangement, but as a workaround you can change pedal assignment in the Pianoteq UI by clicking on one of the pedals. So, press your (physical) sustain pedal, observe which pedal moves in the Pianoteq UI, and then set that pedal to sustain.

Thank you. I did that and solved the issue on the Novation. However on the Kawai, the sustain pedal is on the far LEFT rather than the fa RIGHT. Please advise and I thank you so much again, Dai

It sounds like the polarity of your pedals is opposite to what your keyboards expect.

However, as a quick fix for Pianoteq, you can click the Options button, select the MIDI tab, and in the lines corresponding to your pedals, reverse the ranges so they are 1 then 0 instead of 0 then 1.

Hello all

I downloaded the PT standard and the pedals the Kawai VCP 1 and Novation Launchkey 49 are in reverse. When I depress the pedals I see the pedals move up on the screen instead of down. When I let go, the pedal on the screen is depressed. Please help, Thanks Dai Phan
