Hi everyone,

I’ve been exploring the limiter in Pianoteq and noticed that the manual doesn’t really go into detail about what each parameter specifically does. I’m familiar with general limiter concepts, but I’m not entirely sure how Pianoteq’s implementation works, and I’d like to understand it better.

Could anyone here explain what the different limiter parameters like Sharpness and Threshold do

From comparing to other limiters in my DAW i noticed that Pianoteq's internal limiter behaves like a compressor on default settings. Are there any specific settings to make it behave more like a simple brickwall limiter?

Thanks in advance!
