Henry Marcellus Higgs (1854-1929) was the son of Marcellus Higgs (1827-1897) and Clara Tomlin. His father, also an organist, published no organ music.
H. M. Higgs worked with several music publishers and published a fairly large output of organ music.

This piece, in Andante tranquillo, is as No 6 in the series ”Twelve Miniatures”, as part of "Original Compositions for the Organ (New Series)” where it appears as No. 27. Dates from 1913.

Henry Marcellus Higgs was a British composer and performer whose early life and entire career was spent in London. His published output includes not only original instrumental, organ and sacred/secular vocal music but also arrangements of music from popular comremporary stage works both for solo piano and for ensembles !

Berh Stig, what can I say? It's a truly lovely piece that flows lightly in this sultry Italian summer.
I don't know the composer, but you played it really well, retaining its "barcarola" spirit, swaying among the waves.
