Sorry for the late reply! And thanks for you ideas, Qexl!

The sound of a BBD delay is not what I am missing. Pingpong by layers is also fine. Grit by amp, yes!

I am missing the pitch behavior when you turn the delay time knob while playing. I was to "unprecise" with my description what I mean with pitch effect.

So I renew my wish as a feature request :-)

Welcome opt.X

A lot of extra value comes from using layers.

Same piano on layer two (panned mics left), and layer 3 (panned mics right).

For the 2 layered pianos:

1
Set "Delays" (timings to suit your music) - if they are panned, then you can make 'ping-pong' echos (and a little birdy tells me ping-pong may come soon.)

2
try enabling "Amp" at a pretty high % (so they get 'grit').

3
For pitch specific stuff...

Go into "Note Edit" - and generate modulation in there. You can make one layer modulate 'upward' 1st whilst the other modulates 'downwards' - experimenting with subtle or cranked values will give all kinds of 'tape-like' vibes.

I guess you could say, you don't have to stop at those few things though - there are 'flange/phase' and 'wha' which you can subtly dial in on the layered pianos to invoke all kinds of exaggerated tape flavors.

Hope that gives some new ideas (love marzipan!)

Hi there! (seem to be my first post ...)

I don't think, I have overlooked something, but when changing the delay time in the FX delay, it behaves quite "basic", meaning no typical pitch effects occur, as normally expected in a BBD or tape delay.
This makes it relatively boring (or even useless) in a live (improvisation) situation.

Should I better post this in the "Modartt Wish List 2025" thread?

(BTW. Faster speeds in the other FX (chorus, phaser, ...) with "rate" would also be nice, for glitchy/experimental sounds, the tremolo can do ring-mod like stuff - nice !!)

Best regards from German Marzipan Capital
