Yeah, it has that lovely warm mid-range bark like a wurli, sounds almost like a synth in a way (resonant bandpass sawtooth splurge) -
the thing that really makes the Pianet distinctive to me is that you don't get that metallic plunk from a hammer hitting tines -
instead there a wierd mixture of brittle/spongey splurge as the sticky pads interact with the reeds.

Not sure about this one - sounds too bright for a Pianet T.  If you go to that Hohner demo page, you can hear that it sounds extremely mellow.
(I think this must be the least harmonically rich electric piano ever invented!)

I think some of the demos were off those flexible records, sold with magazines.  I can't find the damn site at the moment though - if anyone knows where it is please post the link.

I downloaded the recordings, but I'm not sure whether I'd be violating some form of copyright if I made them available.

The Pianet T has a COMPLETELY different sound - it uses rubber pads that have natural "stickiness" - they are not impregnated with any adhesive. They also have electro-MAGNETIC pickups.  I also own a Pianet T.

The Combo Pianet is just a sticky pad Pianet in a more compact form than the Pianet N.  (there may be other differences that I'm not aware of though)

You are thinking of the Clavinet Duo. 

I agree - the sticky pads give it a distinctive sound. However, overall, I feel that it sounds very similar to a Wurltizer. It may even be possible to create a Pianet N sound by tweaking Pianeteq's existing Wurlitzer instrument.

I believe the Pianet N has "sticky foam pads" on its hammers, which strike and then un-stick from the reeds, resulting in that rather odd sound it has... I love it, personally - Roxy Music, The Stranglers and Van der Graaf Generator would not have been the same without it!

That's more than most would bother with for an instrument with such little dynamics, I think.

I second the request for a Pianet N for Pianoteq. I think it should be pretty easy, because it sounds quite similar to a Wurlitzer, as well it should, because it uses the same principle for tone generation. (reeds with electro-static pickup).
