I'm not sure how the Rattle pedal is implemented (if it's part of the physical sim or the DSP resonator model), but if it's the former, providing options for different materials and thicknesses could be a way to cover most "prepared piano" usecases

Just came here searching for this idea. I would gladly buy a "prepared piano" and it seems like it should be exactly the type of thing Pianoteq could do really well.

Thanks, but I have Standard version, not the Pro.
Even if I had Pro, I'd prefer a simpler way : choice of bolt or rubber, dimension, distance from pins, than trying to work with the many parameters already there.

Also there are prepared piano presets, we can't choose the material, the distance, and the strings

it's possible to do note edit to simulate the effect of prepared piano, but you will likely need the pro version. Spectrum edit, unison width, impedance, sympathetic resonance strength, Q factor etc. You can make some presets and put them in the morph, and use assign midi cc to macro control the process. There are already some prepared piano presets like steinway D prepared to start with

this would be a great option, adding bolts, screws, rubbers etc. between the strings we'd want. In order to play music for prepared piano.

I like to play sometimes John Cage music, but don't want to add bolts in my Grand Piano.
It's something impossible to do with Pianoteq now, with the possibility to choose :
- the material (small or big bolt, steel or bronze, rubber, etc)
- which strings
- the distance from the pins (or from the bridge)
