Such a surprise ! If you'd said Jobim or Carlos and Jocáfi, it would have been something (nearly) obvious. It's S. Swallow, I did'nt know he had composed tunes like this.

thank you Borealis!  yes he wrote some rather unusual tunes.  one characteristic of his compositions (that you don't see in say Jobim) is the circular nature.  they often don't have such a clear starting point in the harmony and circle back on themselves.  this happens in a lot of them, no matter what the tempo/groove is ...

What a nice ending. At 4.25 I thought the end would soon come, but at the chord 4.32 it was an abrupt end. What a marvellous, sublime  surprise!!  Love it!    Always new endings - wow!

This piece is beautiful, bold and elegant. I'm very annoyed by both the choice of instrument and the attitude with which you play it.
