what a lovely gem! i had never heard of this piece before but it is quite beautiful (and somewhat radical, it seems to me). loved the choices in registration.

Thank you so much for the beautiful Krebs Chorale Prelude, I had never heard it before.... I was immediately intrigued by the opening chromaticism... I read the score it is really extraordinary: it covers all 12 pitch classes in the first 5 bars of the piece and incorporates the ascending chromatic tetrachord 12 times in 36 measures (the total length is 49 measures). That's good example of depicting total misery with chromatic completion.
