Great interpretation as always!

The point about particular keys having different colours or flavours is probably lost when using Equal Temperament. There is, of course, a great deal of debate as to the exact temperament BACH used for his WTC I & II.

Some have put forward various theories on the circles found on his WTC I manuscript. What I find interesting is that if you try to draw this 'squiggle' you can only do so easily if you start at the right and move left. This changes the supposed / counter supposed mapping thus far offered.

I have put up my own scale on a separate posting so others can hear the difference and used the C Major Prelude as a basis to demonstrate the rich texture obtained.

That's enough about me and my excursion into the truly unknown.

What you write to me is very interesting. I too have always believed that the various keys had different colors and flavours. I haven't read much about it but when I study each of these pieces I perceive that there is undoubtedly something particular that connects the tone of a piece and its character, its smell and taste. I like the analyzes of Riemann's Preludes and Fugues, which I always read before studying a piece to fully understand its structure.
