I picked up a cable today and everything works perfectly - with the new cable, MIDI goes to my iPhone and the sound comes right back to the keyboard. Thanks again, all!

-Ian

Then look in Options | Devices within Pianoteq and see where the output is directed; it should be something that designates the FP-90X. Not having an iPad, I can’t tell you if there is something you have to do in the iPad to tell it to make the FP-90X available; if you can’t find it in Pianoteq, I would look for something in iPad settings.

If I am wrong, in the Pianoteq Options->Device menu you should find the Roland FP90X in the list of Audio Output and selecting that should make it work. If you don't find it, Roland doesn't have such a feature. Some Yamaha keyboards have that.

An alternative, if your Roland has line-in, would be to purchase an USB-to-line-out adapter for your iPhone and connect an audio cable instead.
