I've been using Pianoteq Stage 8.4.0 with Ableton Live Lite 12.1.5 on Mac. I recently created a custom Global MIDI Mapping and chose it for my track. But when I save my project, and then close & reopen Ableton, Pianoteq goes back to the default Minimalistic mapping. I can mitigate that by setting my custom mapping as the default, and apparently I could also attach it to the current preset. So in other words, I can either have a global default or a per-preset setting; changes done to MIDI mapping at the DAW track level don't seem to be honored. Is this the expected behavior?
