Maybe Modartt rolls out the sale earlier in some places than others. (??)  It appears to be the normal pricing here, so far.

Thanksgiving 2025 is on Nov 27th so we still have over 3 weeks until Black Friday.

Have two more pianos in mind to add to the four that I have. We'll see. (Interestingly, that would give me the top six. Not sure if there is a reason for the order on their website.)

I didn't see a price on upgrading from Pro to Studio, might have to contact them for a price on that. Could be that one day it won't be that big of a step. As it was, the jump between Pro and Studio was just too big for me to do last year.

Last year the sale started around 23rd of November and I bought quite few instrument packs on discount. Is it happening this year as well?

Yay, there it is! Substantial enough discount that I'm weighing options.

... buying Pro at 20% off, then upgrading to Studio, appears to be US$19.95 cheaper. ...

I had wondered whether that could get me any better of a discount on the Studio. It doesn't offer me a price to upgrade from the Pro that I just bought to the Studio, when I clicked on the Buy button, it sent me to an "email us" box, I guess for a quote. While curious, I didn't complete the box... yet. LOL! 

I did notice that the individual instruments are $39.20 here (US). Even that is tempting with maybe adding the next 5 instruments on the list, which would get me most of the pianos available for a little over $500 including the Pro that I already bought.

And then I tell myself, "Self, you've already got 113 piano variations to play with, do that first."

Happy to say I just upgraded my elderly license (from the older 2 instrument packs with Standard) to Pro and therefore got the option of 2 extra instrument packs

Users with the newer Standard (3 instrument packs) should expect 1 extra pack I believe.

Nice that you get parity, whichever older version you upgrade from. Nobody need feel left out.

The sale price will last just four days, which I suppose is the duration of Modartt’s Black Friday sale too. 36-month, zero-percent financing is worth a lot more than the savings from buying Pro, then upgrading, sooo…

K2 still sounds great.
As the only entirely pure modelling grand piano pack (not based on any specific real world equivalent) or we could say it is a fictional piano K2 is great. I hope they don't drop K2 just to have all licensed packs.

I imagine YC5 pack would go first - to be replaced by a licensed Yamaha - Maybe an official CFX and a C5 or C7 for Ptq 9?

Then what of U4 if they don't produce uprights for every licensed brand?

Should Rhodes be licensed too?

Absolutely all of the modern pianos are good choices. You cannot go wrong with any of them.
Don't forget you'll also get the Errard and Pleyel and Yamaha CP80 for free in the KIVIR collection.
