What fun test pieces! And I agree entirely—I have found myself enjoying the U4 quite a bit as of late. I didn't take to it previously, but only just recently have I really made it a daily driver.
I've been playing most with "U4 Tall Concert". I think it sounds quite nice, and you can get quite a bit of interesting texture (in my opinion) based on your velocities (e.g., pp or p compared to f). I'll also occasionally hop over to "U4 Midnight" or the "U4 Felt" presets depending on the song.
I've been toying with the idea of a Christmas album (it's been quite some time since I've done one) and this preset is hitting all the right (possibly nostalgic) notes. But I've been having great fun with other pieces as well -- I've got a version of Moonlight Sonata (first movement) that I'll post soon.
